stable release wanted!
  Question
Hi there,
it would be nice to have a stable release at some point, motion is great piece of software without equivalent on linux; and it is actively maintained in view of the two parallel branches created.
A bit of unifying forces would be nice in order to reach a common stable release, that would facilitate the task of packaging it, and using it
cheers and happy new year,
chris.

  Answer
You can take "unofficial" version from Github/Mr-Dave:
http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/view/Motion/WebHome
It's very stable, has RTSP support and a lot of bugfixes that are not included in the official version
