Black Images

Question

All of the images that I attempt to view through motion come out all black. The text is put on them but the rest of the image is black. I'm using a Logitch Communicate STX on Gentoo with spca5xx and possibly (not sure if it is being used) a custom driver from the Gentoo wiki. Using xawvt -c /dev/video I can view through my webcam, so I assume it is setup correctly.

Please , post your motion.conf . Anyway take a look to motion.conf and be sure that they have the right values :

setup_mode off
input 8
