MacOSX Port ( Already included in motion 3.2.4 )

Introduction

Requirements

• autoconf-2.57 or above.
• make-3.79 or above.
• This port has been made using some packages from Fink and DarwinPorts :
  • ffmpeg-0.4.8 from DarwinPorts ( but it needs to be patched ).
  • libjpeg-6b-16, libjpeg-shlibs-6b-16 from Fink

How to Install

• Get/Patch/Install ffmpeg
  • Download the ffmpeg from sourceforge ( the same version used in Darwinports ).
  • Get the patch-ffmpeg

         tar xfvz ffmpeg-0.4.8.tar.gz
         cd ffmpeg-0.4.8/
         patch -p1 < ../ffmpeg-0.4.8-macosx.patch
         ./configure --prefix=/path_to_install_ffmpeg ; make ; make install ; make installlib
         cd ..

• Patch/Install Motion
  • Download motion-3.2.4_snap3
  • Get the configure.patch

      tar xfvz motion-3.2.4_snap3.tar.gz
      cd motion-3.2.4_snap3/
      patch < ../configure.in.macosx
      autoconf ; ./configure --with-ffmpeg=/path_where_you_installed_ffmpeg ; make
